At Reminisce Festival, we are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy outlines what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it in accordance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requirements.

WHY THIS POLICY MATTERS

We understand that people are increasingly concerned about how their data is collected, stored, and used. This policy is intended to be clear and transparent about our practices.

The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires that all companies handling personal data—whether they own it or simply process it on behalf of others—adhere to strict rules regarding its use, storage, and protection.

COOKIES ON OUR WEBSITE

Our website uses cookies to enhance user experience and collect data in a responsible, non-intrusive way. Below is a breakdown of the types of cookies used:

1: FIRST PARTY COOKIES

These help us recognize repeat visitors and ensure we don’t display repeated prompts or reminders unnecessarily. These cookies do not track users outside of our website.

2: THIRD PARTY COOKIES

  • Facebook Pixel: Helps Facebook match your account with websites you’ve visited, including ours. This enables us to serve relevant adverts to you on Facebook.

  • Google Analytics: Tracks how many people visit our site and general browsing behavior. We can see high-level data, such as number of visitors and pages visited, but never personally identifiable information.

  • Hotjar: Occasionally used to understand how users navigate our site. It may anonymously track user behavior to help us improve usability and layout.

Important Note: We do not gain access to any personal data from these third-party cookies, nor can we control how Facebook, Google, or Hotjar use the information they collect.

WHO OWNS AND MANAGES YOUR DATA?

Reminisce Festival is owned and operated by Reminisce Festival Life Ltd. Event operations, including data management, are handled by In Demand Events Ltd on behalf of the festival.

  • If you sign up to our mailing list or buy tickets, your data is collected and stored by In Demand Events Ltd.

  • We do not match your data with third-party databases.

  • We never sell or share your personal information with third parties.

WHERE AND HOW IS YOUR DATA STORED?

  • Data is stored securely on encrypted databases hosted on AWS RDS servers.

  • All our websites use SSL encryption, meaning any data you enter is securely transmitted over the internet.

  • Your data flows directly from signup forms to our secure servers—never via unsecured platforms.

  • At times, small subsets of data may be temporarily stored on Dropbox when staff are working with the information. Both AWS and Dropbox are fully GDPR compliant.

WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR DATA?

Your data is used in two main ways:

1: MARKETING

  • To send you festival updates via email.

  • From time to time, In Demand Events may email you about other similar events they manage.

  • Your email will never be shared with any third parties.

2: DEMOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS

  • We use anonymized data to better understand our audience and improve the event experience.

  • Example: In 2017, when we found that 80% of ticket holders were female, we increased the number of women’s toilets by 25%.

THE RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN

Under GDPR, you have the right to request deletion of all your data from our systems. If you would like to:

  • Unsubscribe: You can opt out of our emails at any time using the link in our newsletters. However, this does not delete your data from our system.

  • Be fully removed: To delete all your data, email us at support@indemand.digital and we will comply with your request.
